About ARG
In 1999, Saddle Partners of America (SPA) was formed by a group of equine enthusiasts who saw a need among horse owners for education about the legal issues that surrounded their mutual interest in horses. One of the greatest needs they addressed within that organization was to provide liability insurance specifically for equine enthusiasts to cover activities that may be limited or excluded from a home or farm insurance policy. SPA wanted to increase knowledge about horse related activities and to offer access to equine related insurance products to its members.
The foundation behind SPA was and has always remained very solid. However, it was becoming very difficult for SPA to continue to grow and offer its members and clubs the kind of access to affordable benefits and information they needed. Since SPA had such a strong membership basis and since the theory of the association was so valuable, it would be tragic to allow the SPA’s foundation to crumble away. In late 2006, Association Resource Group (ARG) offered to absorb SPA into its network.
ARG agreed to offer the same access to equine insurance products for all of SPA members and clubs. ARG agreed that there would be no loss of any benefit previously offered to SPA members. The changes would all be for the positive. As a result, new benefits would be offered and added to all current and new memberships for the same yearly membership fees that SPA had previously offered. Better communication, easier access to information and your club promotional opportunities are now a priority for ARG.
The theory behind ARG is multi-fold:
1.) Clubs…..Clubs are always struggling with liability concerns. We live in a very insurance conscientious society today and some type of insurance coverage is not only recommended but in some cases a must have. ARG offers its members access to several very valuable insurance coverages that your club members may need or be interested in.
2.) Membership Drives….Clubs, councils &/or associations are always looking for new and creative avenues to help increase membership numbers. Benefit programs have become very popular over the last several years as enticements to help potential new members choose between clubs. ARG encourages and will help promote your club to potential members via direct links to your site, discounted website advertising, as well as the ability to list your club's activities on our website's calendar page with a direct hyperlink to your club's site.
3.) Member Benefits…..Benefits are an important part of the equation for increasing membership into a club, council &/or association. ARG has spent countless hours researching, gathering information and putting together a benefit package for its members. When your club, council or association joins ARG, the benefit package will be accessible to your members.

- Listing of your website link on our website, plus your contact information and upcoming events
- Access to our articles and information helpful to starting your club and growing your membership
What you need to do:
Fill out a Membership Application for your club or a show manager or competition application if you are an individual and submit with your payment. Applications are below and instructions are on the application.
